A 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were fatally struck by two vehicles after the cars collided near Broadway and Buena Vista Avenue in Lemon Grove on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred around 11:17 a.m. when the two pedestrians were attempting to cross Broadway. Both were pronounced dead at the scene due to their injuries.
The collision involved a silver Prius and a gray Acura. The occupants of the Prius sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the Acura suffered major injuries. All were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.
