[01-04-2022] Kern County, CA – Bicycle Crash in Bakersfield Seriously Injures One

One unidentified person was seriously injured after a bicycle crash in Bakersfield on Tuesday afternoon, January 4, 2022.

The accident happened in the area of California Avenue and R Street in Bakersfield at approximately 12:29 p.m.

How the collision occurred and why it happened have not been established. Authorities confirmed that intoxication did not play a role in the crash.

The bicycle rider sustained serious injuries in the crash. They were immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment.
