Two-Vehicle Collision Statistics

The most common cause of personal injury in the United States is a motor vehicle collision. Every year, about two million individuals are wounded in car accidents. In California alone, there are more than 200,000 of them. Riverside County, California’s fourth-largest county, has more than 2 million citizens, making it one of the most dangerous places to drive.

There were 2,119 injuries and deaths on Riverside’s streets, including Jurupa Avenue, Wells Avenue, Pierce Street, and nearby roads like the 91, 215, and 60 last year. Most of these deaths might have been avoided; distracted driving is a factor in over 80 percent of all traffic collisions. Distracted driving, intoxicated driving, and driver exhaustion are all factors in these collisions, and they all have their share of victims.

As a result of the collision, the driver who caused it is liable for compensating the other people involved, including those named above. In California, who bears the responsibility for the accident depends on which motorist was negligently responsible for it. It’s possible that both drivers could be to blame for a car accident. The injured party may be entitled to sue the at-fault party for damages even if this occurs.
