One unidentified person was killed after a fatal two-vehicle collision in San Jose on Wednesday morning, January 12, 2022.

A northbound 2002 GMC sports utility vehicle was traveling at high speeds on South White Rod when it struck a 2003 Toyota minivan that was about to turn left onto South White Road from Almond Drive.

Unfortunately, the Toyota driver was killed in the mishap. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a female passenger in the Toyota was rushed to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, the GMC driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities said that the GMC driver might be booked for vehicular manslaughter after being discharged from the hospital.

Local authorities are further investigating the case. Witnesses that can give more information about the accident are urged to call Detective O’Brien #3527 of the police department’s Traffic Investigations Unit at 408-277-4654.
