[01-13-2025] Woman Fatally Struck by Car on Sierra Highway in LancasterA female pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Sierra Highway in Lancaster on Monday evening, January 13, 2025.

Deputies from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near Sierra Highway and Lancaster Boulevard around 5:45 p.m.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a woman driving a blue sedan was traveling north on Sierra Highway when she struck a pedestrian crossing from the west to the east side of the roadway, just north of Lancaster Boulevard.

The pedestrian sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.

It remains unclear if the driver of the sedan stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities during the investigation.
