A deadly DUI crash in Clear Lake resulted in the death of an unidentified 30-year-old man on Sunday night, January 16, 2022.

A westbound 2012 Volkswagen made an unsafe turn, veered into the right, and rear-ended a Ram 5500 pickup.

Unfortunately, a passenger in the Volkswagen was killed in the mishap. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Volkswagen driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Sutter Lakeside Hospital. She was later identified as 31-year-old Patricia M. Authorities later arrested her on DUI-related charges.

The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case.
