[01-16-2022] Sutter County, CA – Fatal Head-On Collision near Nicholas Avenue Results in One Death

An unidentified man was killed after a fatal head-on crash near Nichola Avenue on early Sunday morning, January 16, 2022.

The fatal crash transpired at around 2:00 a.m. on State Route 99, just south of Nicholas Avenue.

A southbound vehicle was traveling on the northbound side of SR 99 for unclear reasons and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

Unfortunately, the driver of the other vehicle was killed in the collision. Meanwhile, the first driver sustained major injuries in the crash and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The CHP is currently investigating the cause of the collision. They will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the accident.
