[01-16-2023] San Diego County, CA – 65-Year-Old Hospitalized Following Suspected DUI Crash on La Jolla Village Drive

A 65-year-old woman sustained injuries after a suspected DUI crash in San Diego on Monday afternoon, January 16, 2023.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred around 3:30 p.m. on La Jolla Village Drive.

According to reports, the suspect was driving a Honda Civic westbound in a mall’s drive aisle when he struck the victim.

The victim was struck on her right side, causing her to jump onto the car before falling.

As a result, the woman sustained a fractured right leg and various injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

The car left the scene, but it was quickly found, and the 33-year-old driver was detained for DUI and hit-and-run charges.
