[01-16-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – At Least One Person Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rig Along I-5 in Sun Valley

At least one person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig in Sun Valley, Los Angeles, early Tuesday morning, January 16, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened approximately before 4:00 a.m. along Interstate 5 near Lankershim Boulevard.

Reports indicate that a big rig hauling groceries overturned on its side and blocked multiple lanes. Several vehicles were also involved, including one damaged vehicle.

The big-rig driver was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition. It is currently unclear how many people were involved and injured.

Further details on the cause of the collision have yet to be released by the authorities.
