A 48-year-old woman identified as Julia A. was killed following a deadly car crash in Bakersfield on Tuesday afternoon, January 18, 2022.

A westbound Ford Escape was initially traveling on Muller road when it stopped at a stop sign before entering the intersection.

Unfortunately, the Ford Escape drove directly in front of a southbound heavy-duty tow truck traveling 55 mph.

The Ford driver sustained serious injuries following the crash. She was immediately taken to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Another occupant in the Ford also died in the collision. She was identified as 48-year-old Julia A. The tow-truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the accident.
