[01-18-2022] Tuolumne County, CA – Alleged DUI Crash in Jamestown Seriously Injures One Person

A 27-year-old woman identified as Rebekah G. was seriously hurt after a traffic crash involving an alleged DUI driver in Jamestown on Tuesday evening, January 18, 2022.

A northbound Toyota pickup was initially traveling on State Route 49 when the driver veered into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming southbound Acura sedan.

The Acura driver sustained serious injuries in the mishap. She was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center for treatment.

Local authorities later determined that the Toyota pickup driver was under the influence at the time of the accident. He was identified as 63-year-old Theodore Y. and was arrested for DUI-related charges.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
