A 58-year-old man identified as Joe S. was killed following a deadly two-vehicle crash near Golden State Boulevard on Thursday morning, January 20, 2022.

A pickup truck was traveling near Golden State Boulevard when another vehicle veered into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with the pickup.

The pickup truck driver was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by firefighters. Unfortunately, the pickup truck driver was killed in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second driver was suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run crash before the head-on collision. The driver is now facing manslaughter charges and other charges.

Local authorities are further investigating the accident.
