Two people were hurt following a traffic collision involving an alleged intoxicated driver on G Street on Thursday night, January 20, 2022.

[01-20-2022] Merced County, CA - Two People Injured After a DUI Crash on G StreetAccording to the initial reports from local authorities, the crash happened at around 7:06 p.m. on G Street.

A 47-year-old woman identified as Lori G. was traveling at high speeds in her 2022 Maserati on the southbound lanes of G Street when she attempted to pass another vehicle but ended up sideswiping it.

The 2022 Maserati driver then collided with another vehicle stopped at the intersection. Due to the severity of the impact, the 2022 Maserati and the second car ended up in a ditch.

A fourth vehicle crashed into the debris that came from the initial crash. Two people sustained unspecified injuries and were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The 2022 Maserati was later arrested on DUI-related charges. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
