[01-22-2022] Five People Hurt Following a Two-Vehicle Collision in Chula VistaFive people were injured after a major two-vehicle traffic collision in Chula Vista early Saturday morning, January 22, 2022.

The accident happened on the southbound 15 Freeway off-ramp to E Street in Chula Vista at approximately 2:07 a.m.

For unknown reasons, a Chrysler 300 and a pickup truck collided on the roadway. The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been established.

The male driver of the pickup truck was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. Meanwhile, the four people inside the Chrysler, including two children, were injured following the mishap.

It’s unclear whether intoxication was a factor in the accident. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
