[01-25-2024] San Bernardino County, CA – 39-Year-Old Woman Injured After Dog Attack in Victorville

A 39-year-old woman was injured following an unexpected Great Dane attack in Victorville on Thursday afternoon, January 25, 2024.

According to the Victorville Police Department, the attack happened at around 4:30 p.m. while the victim and her 33-year-old friend were walking along George Boulevard near Schmidt Park.

Authorities stated that when the two women walked to the intersection of George Boulevard and Nevada Street, the victim noticed the dog’s owner lying in the grass with the animals leashed but unattended.

The approach of the two women seemed to trigger the dogs, and began barking towards them. Despite desperate efforts to stop the dogs, the situation worsened. The victim was surrounded and sustained multiple bites.
