Steps To Take After A Truck Accident In Fresno County

After a truck accident, remain on the scene and await assistance from the police and emergency personnel. Remove the vehicle from the road. Notify your insurer and give our award-winning law company a call once you have evidence for a truck accident claim. You may safeguard your entitlement to compensation after a vehicle accident by following this comprehensive guide:

  • Move to safety. Once you have captured pictures and videos, pull your car to the shoulder and turn on your caution lights to let other drivers know it’s safe. Observe the advice of emergency responders if moving cars is dangerous.
  • Seek medical treatment and immediate assistance. Even if you believe you are okay, let the emergency personnel examine you because some injuries may not show up for several days. A case is aided by medical records of visits, diagnoses, treatments, medications, and costs.
  • Ask other drivers for information. Note the names of the parties, their phone numbers, vehicle plates, insurance companies, and policy numbers.
  • Take pictures and videos of the scene if you can. Take as many pictures and movies as you can of your automobile, other cars, and surrounding objects like guardrails and skid marks.
  • Take a picture of your wounds. One important way to record damages is to take pictures of your injuries or those of others.
  • Obtain witness accounts. After an accident, many people offer assistance. To support your argument, get as much information from them as you can.
  • Report the accident to your insurance company. Don’t make hasty recorded or official remarks. Making false statements or confessions about the accident could hinder your ability to get financial compensation.
  • Don’t say sorry. This is a typical error made following an automobile accident. Be truthful when speaking with a police officer. Give as detailed a description of the collision as you can.
  • Keep a journal. You’ll be able to remember all of your feelings and thoughts during your recuperation if you do this. For personal injury claims, keeping track of your recuperation period following an accident is essential.
  • Speak with Arash Law. Our attorneys don’t settle for a quick settlement. To optimize your recuperation, they identify all responsible parties. Our team has addressed numerous issues of victims. Our California truck accident attorneys can assist if the police refuse to provide the accident record or if an insurance company keeps calling.
