[01-26-2023] Vehicle Struck and Injured Mother and 9-Month-Old Near SebastopolA mother, identified as Donna A., and her 9-month-old baby were injured after being struck near Sebastopol on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

Reports indicated that the collision occurred in the morning along the edge of Burnside, north of Bloomfield Road.

According to authorities, the female victim was walking southbound with her infant in a sling when a southbound driver hit the victim with his side mirror.

Due to the impact, the 36-year-old woman suffered minor to moderate injuries, and her baby sustained minor injuries.

The 55-year-old driver, Scott G., did not drive above the speed limit of 35 miles per hour.

There was also no proof that he or the victim was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The mirror did not strike the baby, and it is unclear how he was injured.

Further investigations are ongoing.
