The accident occurred at the intersection of Hilltop Drive and E. H Street in Chula Vista at approximately 9:50 a.m.

The police initially attempted to pull over the suspect, but he drove away from the scene at high speeds instead of stopping.

The suspect then ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a red vehicle. Both vehicles rested on the southeast corner of the intersection.

The male driver in the red vehicle and his elderly passenger, who was already suffering from a broken arm, were both injured following the mishap. The suspect was injured as well.

All three parties were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Their identities and their condition has not been disclosed.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
