[01-27-2024] Fresno County, CA – One Female Pedestrian Killed After Getting Hit By Vehicle Along Cambridge Avenue

One female pedestrian was killed after getting hit by a vehicle in Central Fresno on Saturday evening, January 27, 2024.

According to Fresno Police, the fatal collision happened at around 6:00 p.m. in the Fresno Street and Cambridge Avenue area.

The police stated that the driver was traveling south on Fresno Street when he suddenly struck a homeless woman in the roadway. She was transported to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center for immediate care but later died due to her injuries.

The driver reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. It is still unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the deadly incident.

Police are still trying to determine the cause of the collision. The names of the people involved are also undisclosed.
