At least five people were hurt after a major traffic crash involving a Metro bus on S. Normandie Avenue on Friday night, January 28, 2022.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident happened at approximately 8:00 p.m. at 822 S. Normandie Avenue.
A Metro bus and an unspecified passenger vehicle collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been established.
The passenger vehicle caught fire after the collision. Four people inside the passenger car sustained serious injuries and were rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the bus driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
Local authorities are further investigating the case.
