[01-29-2023] Contra Costa County, CA – Male Rider Pronounced Dead Following Collision in Oakley

A motorcycle collision resulted in the death of a male rider in Oakley early Sunday morning, January 29, 2023.

Reports confirmed that the fatal crash transpired around 3:10 a.m. at Laurel Road and Mellowood Drive.

According to authorities, a motorcycle moving at high speed hit an automobile turning from Laurel onto Mellowood.

The motorcycle’s rider was hit, sending it more than 200 yards uphill on Laurel Road.
