How to Submit A Police Report Following an Accident
Make sure the police show up at the collision site and file a report. If you are questioned at the accident scene, be honest about what you witnessed and felt. When speaking, be cautious and do not make assumptions about unfamiliar situations. As a result of shock and anxiety, victims may apologize profusely immediately after an accident, even if they were not at fault. Insurance companies may use this deed of kindness as proof that you admitted guilt to have your claim denied.
