What To Do After A Truck Accident In San Bruno, CA

After a truck accident, staying calm and doing the right things can really help your physical and financial recovery. If you’re still able to do so, our truck accident lawyers suggest taking these steps to protect your rights and interests:

  • Go to a safe place and check your injuries, but do not leave the scene. Call 911 for emergency medical help. Even if you feel okay, don’t wait too long to see a doctor. Keep in mind that adrenaline can hide pain, and some injuries might not show up right away.
  • Tell the police about the event. The officials can record the scene and collect witness accounts while everything is still clear in their minds. A police record is important if you want to make an insurance claim or take legal action later.
  • Record the details of the crash scene. Collect as much evidence as possible. Take pictures and videos of the crash scene, your injuries, any broken property, and the vehicles involved. You can also ask witnesses to share what they saw.
  • Keep a record of all important information. Write down the names and contact information of everyone involved.
  • Inform the insurance companies. Be careful not to share too much information or take the blame. Be careful with what you say, as it could hurt your case later.
  • Get legal help from Arash Law. Our lawyers focus on truck accident cases. They can handle everything legal for you, from looking into the accident to protecting you in court.
