An unidentified 20-year-old man sustained critical injuries after a traffic collision involving a big rig near Palmyrita on Tuesday night, February 1st, 2022.

A westbound Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was traveling on Palmyrita when the driver was unable to notice the big rig in front of him coming to a stop in the No. 1 lane.

Unfortunately, the pickup truck driver could not stop in time and rear-ended the big rig. The pickup truck driver sustained serious life-threatening injuries and was immediately taken to Riverside Community Hospital, listed in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the big rig driver was uninjured in the mishap. He remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities.
