[02-03-2022] One Person Hurt Following a Two-Vehicle Collision near Center StreetOne unidentified person was injured following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 126 on Wednesday evening, February 3, 2022.

The accident transpired at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Highway 126, east of Piru, near Center Street.

A Toyota 4Runner was attempting to turn onto Highway 126 when it was caught in a T-bone collision with a Ford F-450 work truck.

Due to the severity of the impact, the Toyota 4Runner started to spin out of control and veered into westbound traffic, where it was rear-ended by a Ford F-250 pickup truck.

The Toyota 4Runner driver was trapped in the wreckage and was extricated by emergency personnel. He sustained major injuries and was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment.

Information about the crash is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

It’s unclear whether intoxication was a factor in the crash. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
