[02-05-2022] Placer County, CA – Two People Killed After a Deadly Pedestrian Crash in Roseville

02-05-2022-Placer-County-CA-Two-People-Killed-After-a-Deadly-Pedestrian-Crash-in-Roseville-Two people were killed following a deadly pedestrian crash in Roseville on Saturday morning, February 5, 2022.

The fatal accident occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Interstate 80 near the Roseville Parkway.

The two victims were initially traveling on INterstate 80 when they saw a collision between a Honda Accord and a Nissan Altima.

The two victims then pulled over to check on the drivers, but a 2017 Jeep Commander suddenly struck them in the center divider as they were returning to their vehicle.

The Jeep Commander was reportedly trying to avoid the two crashed vehicles but ended up hitting the two victims.

The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as 19-year-old Diana F. and 21-year-old Michael O.

The Jeep driver remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities. He was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case.
