A 48-year-old woman identified as Jennifer N. was killed after a deadly two-vehicle crash in Jamul on Saturday evening, February 5, 2022.
The fatal crash happened at approximately 6:20 p.m. on State Route 94 near Honey Springs Road in Jamul.
A 2000 Mazda B300 pickup truck was towing a boat on SR 94 when the boat detached from the vehicle, slid across the road and struck an eastbound 2016 Fiat 500.
The woman inside the 2016 Fiat was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital, but unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
The pickup truck driver was later identified as Robert T. He was uninjured in the mishap. He was later taken into custody and arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case.
