An unidentified 28-year-old man was killed after a deadly two-vehicle crash in National City on early Monday morning, February 7, 2022.
The accident transpired at approximately 2:11 a.m. on the southbound side of Interstate 805, near Division Street.
A Hyundai Elantra and a Honda Civic collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. Due to the severity of the impact, the Honda Civic rolled down an embankment following the collision.
Unfortunately, the Civic driver was killed in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the other driver was uninjured in the mishap and remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
