[02-09-2023] 75-Year-Old Bicyclist Hit and Killed in Half Moon Bay by Unlicensed DriverA 75-year-old male bicyclist was struck and killed by an SUV in Half Moon Bay on Thursday afternoon, February 09, 2023.

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash involving an unlicensed driver occurred at about 3:00 p.m. at 500 Kelly Avenue.

Miguel P., an 18-year-old local resident, was reportedly driving a 2001 gold GMC Yukon when he struck the bicyclist, identified as Wang J. by the county coroner’s office.

The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative. He was later arrested for driving without a license and vehicular manslaughter.
