A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Victorville on Friday night, February 9, 2024.

According to the Victorville Police Department, the deadly accident occurred at around 8:01 p.m. at the Amethyst Road and Ironstone Avenue intersection.

Authorities said that the pedestrian, later identified as a local homeless person, was struck by a Chevy 4-door sedan. First responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the pedestrian died on the scene.

Both the front and rear windshields of the vehicle were destroyed during the collision. Meanwhile, the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the ongoing investigation.
