[02-10-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – 10-Month-Old Boy Killed, Woman Assaulted in Long Beach Hotel Room

According to the police, a 23-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend and killing their 10-month-old son in a Long Beach hotel room on Thursday, February 10.

The girlfriend reported her boyfriend, Jeremy W., assaulting her at the hotel in the 5400 block of Atlantic Avenue around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

According to the woman, Wade was in the hotel room with their child, Isiah Gaston.

When officers arrived, they discovered Wade in the room with the unresponsive boy, according to police. The boy was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to police, detectives discovered evidence that Wade harmed his son severely. He was charged with murder and is being held on a $2 million bond.

According to police spokesman Richard Mejia, the woman was not present when the boy was injured. He said the assault with Wade left her with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Mejia, the woman’s hometown was unknown, but her family has a Long Beach address.
