Being involved in a car accident can be overwhelming, leaving victims unsure of what to do next. Staying calm and following the right steps can help protect both your safety and your legal rights. If you’re able, take these important actions:
- Check for Injuries – Your health is the top priority. Assess yourself and others for injuries, and call 911 if medical assistance is needed. Even if you feel unhurt, it’s best to see a doctor, as some injuries may not be immediately noticeable.

- Gather Important Evidence – Take clear photos and videos of the accident scene, including vehicle damage, injuries, and road conditions. If there are witnesses, ask them to provide statements to the police.
