[02-12-2022] Kern County, CA – One Person Killed Following a Deadly Traffic Collision in Weldon

A 59-year-old woman identified as Linette W. was killed in a deadly traffic collision in Weldon on Saturday morning, February 12, 2022.

The fatal collision happened on the west side of Kelso Creek Road on Highway 178 at approximately 11:42 a.m.

Two vehicles collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been established.

Emergency personnel later arrived at the scene and found a woman with serious injuries. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

Information about the accident is limited at the moment. An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
