One unidentified person was hurt after a two-vehicle traffic collision in Laytonville on Saturday morning, February 12, 2022.

A Toyota Rav4 and a Lincoln Navigator collided head-on on Highway 101 for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the collision have not been established.

One person sustained major injuries in the mishap. The identity of the injured party has not been disclosed.

It’s unclear whether intoxication was a factor in the collision. The north and southbound lanes of the highway were closed down to give way for the cleanup and investigation.

Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the collision.
