[02-14-2022] San Diego County, CA – One Person Killed After a Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Grantville

The deadly crash happened at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Alvarado Canyon Road in Grantville.

A 65-year-old woman was driving an eastbound rented U-Haul moving vehicle on Alvarado Canyon when its mirror struck a pedestrian walking in the eastbound lanes.

Unfortunately, the unidentified pedestrian was killed in the accident. The 65-year-old driver remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
