[02-15-2023] Siskiyou County, CA – Suspected DUI Crash in Dorris Fatally Struck One Passenger

02-15-2023-Suspected-DUI-Crash-in-Dorris-Fatally-Struck-One-PassengerA passenger was struck and killed after a suspected DUI crash in Dorris on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

Authorities confirmed that the collision occurred in the morning south of Dorris.

A passenger in the pickup truck did not wear a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. Responders pronounced that the victim had died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver, Dawson Y., was taken to Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls for treatment. He was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.

The big rig driver was examined at the scene but did not require medical attention.

There is still no information regarding the identity of the deceased.

The crash’s cause is still being investigated.
