[02-17-2022] Napa County, CA – 56-Year-Old Man Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 29

56-year-old Primitivo R. died in a head-on collision on State Highway 29 on Thursday morning, February 17, 2022.

At the time, CHP said Romero of Calistoga was driving a GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck southbound on SR-29 at a high rate speed when he crossed over the double-yellow lines.

He went directly into the path of a Ford E-250 van, colliding head-on in the northbound lane.

Moreover, medical responders pronounced Romredo dead at the scene around 9:33 a.m.

Meanwhile, the van driver, a 33-year-old Napa resident whose identity was withheld, suffered major injuries and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

His front passenger, a 51-year-old man, was also injured and was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa.

CHP said all parties were wearing their seat belts.

Furthermore, the roadway shut down temporarily for cleanup and preliminary duties.

The crash remains under investigation.
