[02-17-2022] Woman Killed After a Deadly Pedestrian Cras in LakesideAn unidentified 77-year-old woman was killed following a deadly pedestrian crash in Lakeside on Thursday morning, February 17, 2022.

The accident occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Pino Drive and Lindo Lane.

A northbound 2000 Honda Accord was traveling on Pino Drive when the driver struck a woman that was crossing Lindo Lane from west to east.

The woman reportedly nearly made it across the street when she was struck by the vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities.

The woman was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
