[02-17-2024] San Diego County, CA – 33-Year-Old Male Rider Hospitalized After Being Rear-Ended by Vehicle in Miramar

A 33-year-old male motorcycle rider was hospitalized after being rear-ended by a vehicle in Miramar, San Diego, on early Saturday morning, February 17, 2024.

According to the San Diego Police, the accident happened around 12:27 a.m. on the 9600 block of Miramar Road.

SPD said that the victim, who was riding a 2017 Yamaha motorcycle, was stopped at a red light in the eastbound No. 2 lane when a 2005 Toyota Camry hit him on the rear end. The rider sustained significant injuries and was taken to a hospital.

The Toyota driver, later identified as a 30-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. SPD is not considering alcohol as a factor in the crash.
