[02-19-2022] Pedestrian Killed by a Drunk Driver on Highway 101An unidentified pedestrian was killed following a deadly accident involving a DUI driver on Highway 101 on early Saturday morning, February 19, 2022.

The fatal pedestrian crash happened on Highway 101, just south of River Road, at approximately 4:00 a.m.

A Honda Pilot struck a pedestrian who was walking in the traffic lanes. The pedestrian was killed in the crash; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver pulled onto the right shoulder and cooperated with authorities. Officers later determined that the Honda driver was under the influence at the accident.

The Honda driver was identified as 29-year-old Jesus J. he was arrested on DUI-related charges and taken to county jail.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident Statistics
