[02-19-2023] Five People Hospitalized After Huntington Beach Solo Car CrashFive people were sent to local hospitals following a solo-car crash in Huntington Beach on Sunday evening, February 19, 2023.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. on Gothard Street south of McFadden Avenue.

The vehicle, a 1998 Toyota 4Runner, was driven by a 17-year-old man along with his four passengers. They were traveling northbound on Gothard at high speed before the crash.

All occupants were taken to nearby hospitals to receive medical care for their varying degrees of injuries. No further details on their age and gender were immediately available.

As the investigation into the cause of the crash continued, it was unclear at the moment if alcohol or drugs played a role.
