[02-19-2025] Woman Critically Injured After Hit-And-Run Crash at Parking Lot on Christie Ave in EmeryvilleA woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident at BevMo’s rear parking lot on Christie Avenue in Emeryville, on Wednesday afternoon, February 19, 2025.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. when the woman was walking in the parking lot at 5717 Christie Ave.

The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Frederick C., allegedly struck the woman from behind while turning in from Shellmound Street. The driver is believed to have been speeding at the time of the collision.

After the incident, the driver was reportedly seen speeding back onto Shellmound Street. Officers utilized license plate readers to trace his vehicle to Oakland. On Thursday morning, around 7 a.m., The suspect returned to his vehicle, and law enforcement officers arrested him shortly after.

The suspect was booked into Santa Rita Jail, where he remains on $50,000 bail. The victim is currently in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
