The fatal accident occurred at 5:24 a.m. on Rancho Bernardo Road in San Diego.

According to police and news reports, the bizarre fatal accident triggered a chain reaction that involved another five cars.

The man driving a 2000 Lexus on Rancho Bernardo Road veered to the right for unknown reasons and crashed into a parked vehicle.

The impact activated the car’s airbag, and the man was possibly driving with a knife.

According to reports, San Diego Fire officials arrived at the scene to find a large amount of blood inside the car, as well as a knife and protein powder strewn about.

The driver was transported to a local hospital, where a stab wound was found in his neck.
