[02-20-2023] Four Hospitalized After Vehicle Fell into Ravine in Coombsville RoadFour people were hospitalized, including two with serious injuries, following a single-vehicle crash near Napa on Monday evening, February 20, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the solo car crash occurred at about 9:40 p.m. in a ravine on Coombsville Road near First Avenue, east of Napa City.

Responders from CHP and the Napa City and County Fire Departments arrived on the scene to learn that the vehicle involved ran off the roadway 20 feet into the ravine. The circumstances leading to the crash are still being investigated by the authorities.

Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit reported that the four occupants were all transported to hospitals by the American Medical Response. Two of the victims were extricated from the wreckage, inflicting serious injuries, while the other two sustained moderate wounds.

No further details on the crash were immediately available as the investigation continued, including whether speed, alcohol, or drug played a role.
