[02-21-2022] San Bernardino County, CA – 10-Month-Old Child Killed, Mother and Sister Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Along National Trails Highway

10-month-old Liam G. was killed, and his mother and sister were airlifted after a head-on collision between a semi and a pick-up truck in Helendale on Monday night, February 21, 2022.

Firefighters from San Bernardino County arrived at the scene and pronounced the child dead while two other occupants were still trapped.

Two helicopters were requested to land in the roadway after firefighters freed the victims from the wreckage.

A Mercy Air helicopter transported the truck driver to Antelope Valley Hospital, while another person was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

There are no details disclosed yet about the condition of the others involved.

Additionally, according to emergency workers, approximately 30 gallons of fuel spilled on the right shoulder of the road were contained.
