[02-21-2022] San Bernardino County, CA - 10-Month-Old Infant Killed in a Deadly Helendale Head-On CollisionA 10-month-old infant identified as Liam G. was killed following a deadly head-on collision in Helendale on Monday night, February 21, 2022.

The collision happened on National Trails Highway and Hodge Road in Helendale at approximately 8:16 p.m.

A semi-truck and a pickup truck collided head-on for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been established.

Unfortunately, a 10-month-old infant inside the pickup truck died in the crash. Meanwhile, two other people inside the pickup truck were extricated by firefighters.

The 10-month-old infant’s mother was airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital while his teenage sister was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the cause of the collision.
