An unidentified 70-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Torrey Pines Road on Monday evening, February 21.

Investigators also discovered that the man was struck by a 2012 Toyota Camry driven by a 40-year-old woman as she drove east on Torrey Pines Road.

First responders eventually arrived and transported the 70-year-old male pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where he died later.

Furthermore, the identity of the deceased victim has not yet been disclosed by the authorities.

The roadway was temporarily closed in both directions to allow for cleanup and preliminary work.

The San Diego officials are still investigating the fatal pedestrian accident.
