[02-22-2022] One Person killed, Other Injuries Reported After a Dog Bite Incident in at Lancaster Rv EncampmentAn unidentified 43-year-old man was killed while other people were hurt after a dog attack at a homeless encampment in Lancaster on Tuesday afternoon, February 22, 2022.

The incident happened at approximately 3:10 p.m. in the desert area of 20th Street West, north of Avenue G.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs’ Department’s Lancaster Station were called to the area after receiving a report about a dog attack in the area.

Authorities found two people seriously injured, with one party unresponsive on the ground. The unresponsive man was rushed to an area hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead.

The incident stemmed from a physical altercation between the victim and another man outside of a motor home in the encampment. The second man’s dog reportedly got loose and started attacking the victim and another person that tried to intervene.
