A 62-year-old woman identified as Diana D. was killed after getting attacked by her own grandson with a baseball bat on early Tuesday morning, February 22, 2022.

Authorities were called to the scene to find the suspect standing in the living room and running towards the bedroom.

Meanwhile, authorities found the victim’s body lying on the floor in another room. She was unresponsive and had serious signs of trauma throughout her body. She was rushed to an area hospital later pronounced dead.

The victim was able to tell a witness that she was getting attacked by her grandson with a baseball. The suspect was later identified as 18-year-old Adrian G. He was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Local authorities are further investigating the case. They suspect that the 18-year-old man may have suffered from mental health issues that could have influenced the attack.
