An unidentified 37-year-old motorcycle rider was killed after getting involved in a fatal multi-vehicle collision in San Leandro on Friday morning, February 25, 2022.

A Nissan Murano SUV, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and several other vehicles collided on the roadway for unclear reasons.

The motorcycle rider reportedly drove into the highway from the Grand Avenue on-ramp before crashing into the Nissan; several other vehicles were then involved in the crash.

The motorcycle rider was rushed to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, another person sustained major injuries and was taken to an area hospital to receive treatment.

Intoxication was not considered a factor in the crash. Local authorities are further investigating the case.

Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision Statistics
