A traffic accident on Old River Road killed two Southern California residents and seriously injured a third early Friday, February 25, 2022.

[02-25-2022] Kern County, CA - Two People Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Old River RoadThe fatal two-vehicle crash occurred around 4:00 a.m. in the area of Herring and Old River Road.

The victims were in a Nissan Altima that failed to stop at a stop sign and swerved into the path of an International two-axle tractor, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victims were traveling west on Herring Road when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign at Old River Road and drove into the path of the truck.

According to the CHP, the driver, a 35-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man, and a passenger, a 37-year-old Moreno Valle woman, were both killed in the crash.

Their identities have not yet been disclosed.

Another passenger, Ton E., 41, of Riverside, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The truck driver was identified as 37-year-old Bogar L.Earlimart.
